We did a private tour to Haleakala Crater and Iao Valley and it was one of the best tours we’ve ever been on. Wendy was our tour guide and she was absolutely incredible. We were traveling with young kids and Wendy was extremely accommodating and patient and kept the kids engaged the entire time.

Don & Phyllis, Kristi, Mark, Pat, Rob, Lisa, and Superguide Wendy went birding at Haleakalā a few days ago, and although we are still waiting for the excellent bird pics we know some of the group got, we didn't want to wait to show you these cool silversword photos (and one of a silversword hybrid)! Haleakalā silverswords are endemic to Haleakalā Volcano, and only found growing in the harsh cinder landscapes at elevation above 6,000ft. above sea level. A true Maui native and a stunning organism.
